Housekeeping /Janitorial

Position Overview

The housekeeping and janitorial staff at Trout are responsible for providing a clean environment for campers, guests and staff. The housekeeping team ensures the facilities at camp are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to Trout's standards. The housekeeping and janitorial staff reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager

This is an entry-level, summer-only role. Successful housekeepers and janitors must demonstrate the ability to work independently and complete all assigned tasks on their lists. An initiative to learn, grow, balance multiple tasks, and meet daily responsibilities is required in this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Attend Staff Training (Begins late May)
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and meeting areas
  • Respond to housekeeping requests in camp areas throughout the day
  • Work alongside and assign tasks for the Dteam staff member (high school age volunteer staff)
  • Find creative ways to interact lead and work side-by-side with Dteam staff
  • Work with fellow janitors to deep clean specific areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by full time camp staff
  • Learns and practices cleaning techniques and procedures
